He continued his training with a Ford Foundation scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet School dancing leading roles in Symphony in C, Western Symphony, Violin Concerto, and Mozartiana. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Perry Brunson Memorial Award for dedication and excellence. Mr. DuBose has appeared professionally with Dayton Ballet, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Ohio Ballet, Southern Danceworks, and Alabama Ballet having appeared in Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. _In all forms of dance, precision and achievement cannot be gained quickly; it must be motivated, nurtured, and directed. Faculty members of the Montgomery Ballet School have performed in international dance companies, earned degrees in dance from major universities, and have years of experience teaching the art of dance. The official school of Montgomery Ballet provides unparalleled excellence in training and offers performance opportunities throughout the year, including the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. Students also have an option to perform in the Montgomery Ballet School's annual springtimeproductionat the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts.
The Montgomery Ballet school year coincides with the Montgomery area's public schools, with two months off in the summer months. Students are offered an opportunity to bolster their dance education and training in summer, however, by enrolling in our Fairytale Ballet Camp for the young ones, our annual Summer Camp for all ages/levelsorin Performing in America International Workshop for more experienced dancers.
Registration is ongoing throughout the school year. You may register by mail, email, fax, or by stopping by the Montgomery Ballet office. The handbook and registration form are temporarily unavailable online, but you can still get a copy at the school, and we would be happy to e-mail them to you. This is a short term absence while we update the information.
Students will be placed in a class appropriate for their age and level of physical and/or technical ability. Class placement is subject to change at the discretion of the Artistic Director. Students who have never danced before or have taken a break from dancing will attend a placement class to be evaluated by the Montgomery Ballet's Artistic Director. This ensures correct class placement for the student's age and skill level.
Age 11 +(Auditions held August 16 & 23, 2014)

The Youth Company meets on Saturday from 10am-1pm. Selected Dancers must sign a Youth Company contract which specifies the requirements and obligations of all Youth Company members.
