The training of a talented and motivated student does not end with the class they take, that is only the beginning. The art form is more complex that merely following the class curriculum. The mastering of classical ballet technique requires investment in musicality, formations, spacing and understanding stage direction.

the Montgomery Ballet offers dedicated students from the Montgomery Ballet School and opportunity to audition and be selected for the Montgomery Youth Ensemble. To develope their performance skills, The ensemble provides students age 11-18 with additional classes in variations, mime, partnering and rehearsals for performances with the Montgomery Ballet Company.

In this season members of the Ensemble were introduced to a repertoire that was staged especially for them and they were seen in many productions including: The Kingdom of the Sahdes from La Bayadere, La Fille Mal Grande, Coppelia, the annual production of The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night's Dream , Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.
