 Summer Intensive 2010 Dates: June 21st - July 16thPerformance on the Green - July 17th 2009 -Student Showcase The Montgomery BalletFor more than 50 years, the Montgomery Ballet School has provided top quality instruction for thousands of students, beginner through professional levels. The summer program is designed for those who aspire to a career in dance. The Montgomery Ballet is recognized for the quality of its work, its strong, classically trained dancers, and its variety of style ranging from classical to contemporary ballet. FacultyElie Lazar, Artistic Director of the Montgomery Ballet, leads the outstanding faculty. The teachers work with each dancer, focusing on their own technical progress. ClassesThe Montgomery Ballet’s Summer Intensive Seminar focuses on ballet, and also offers a wide variety of classes in other dance forms including Jazz, Modern, Character, Men’s Class, Variations and Partnering. The Seminar is designed for those who desire the best training available, and who are up for the challenge of a rigorous program. On the first day, seminar faculty place students in the appropriate class level. Performance OpportunitiesSummer Intensive participants will perform in the Montgomery Ballet’s 34rd Annual Performance on the Green, lakeside at the Blount Cultural Park on July 18, 2009. Attended by thousands each year, this outdoor performance was named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, and is one of Montgomery’s cultural highlights of the summer.
